LeadStereo Stereotactic Biopsy System Installed at

Seoul National University Bundang Hospital 

Minimally invasive stereotactic biopsy system “LeadStereo”

accurate to within 0.5 mm.

On June 3rd, MEDI-FUTURE, Korea’s only exclusive women’s healthcare company, installed its first stereotactic biopsy system, LeadStereo, in the Department of Radiology at Bundang SNU Hospital’s.

 The LeadStereo stereotactic biopsy system uses a decubitus patient-positioning bed, which provides patients with better care than systems using other positions, such as the upright or prone positions. The main advantages of LeadStereo are accurate targeting to within 0.5 mm, a user-friendly workflow, and greater patient comfort.

 According to MEDI-FUTURE’s customers, many patients are turning away from traditional surgical biopsies due to deformities or scarring that can occur and are seeking minimally invasive biopsy procedures. It is expected that with the recent installation of LeadStereo in SNU Hospital, many patients will receive breast biopsies with minimal pain and discomfort.
